About Us
India People Blog is an independent Indian media house, founded in 2020 on a simple idea: the people and truths that headlines overlook deserve to be seen.
Who we are
India People Blog began in 2020 as a small blog with a big belief: that some of the most important stories in India are the ones nobody is telling. A farmer who rebuilt a village pond. A student who teaches sign language on weekends. A public service that quietly disappeared, and the families who noticed.
Six years on, we have grown into an independent media house with four brands, one newsroom culture and the same promise we started with: we appreciate the underappreciated.
What we do
IPB News
Fast, accurate daily news from across India at ipbnews.in. Politics, the economy, the courts, the states and the stories that move the country every day, explained without the noise.
Third Eye
Our feature desk. Third Eye looks beneath the headline at the societal truths and human-interest stories a fast news cycle misses: how policy lands in real lives, who gets left out, and why.
Voice of Youth
Our podcast, now in its second season on Spotify, Apple Podcasts and Amazon Music. Voice of Youth is a series of honest, long-form conversations with young Indians who are building, questioning and changing things.
Candlelight
Profiles of ordinary Indians doing quiet, unglamorous work that helps others. No celebrities and no publicity seekers. Every Candlelight story answers three questions: what did they do, who did it help, and how can you help?
How we work
- Accuracy before speed. We would rather be second and right than first and wrong.
- People, not props. We speak with the people a story is about, and we tell their stories with their consent and their dignity intact.
- Ground truth. We go to the place, read the document and check the number.
- Independence. No advertiser, sponsor or outside interest can buy, shape or block our coverage. Read our Editorial Independence & Disclosure policy.
- Open corrections. When we get something wrong, we fix it and say so. See our Editorial Standards & Corrections.
