The opposition sees development works in Ayodhya, Kashi through the communal lens: PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi attacked opposition parties on Thursday, saying they have always sacrificed the interests of the country and the poor in the name of “vote bank and dynastic politics.”

Modi also questioned rivals’ “silence” in the aftermath of the court’s recent verdict on the Ahmedabad blasts, saying, “Being hostage to vote bank politics, they would even hesitate to insult the army or the police.”The prime minister’s remarks came just days after a special court in Ahmedabad sentenced 38 members of the terror group Indian Mujahideen to death in the 2008 serial blasts case.

Eleven other convicts were also sentenced to life in prison by the court.He also sought to deflate opponents’ euphoria over voting in the first four phases of the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections, saying that “people have showered blessings on the BJP in abundance, proving that the rivals’ math on vote division has gone wrong.”

The first rally included Sultanpur Assembly constituencies, while the second meeting included Pratapgarh BJP candidates.The prime minister remembered February 24 fondly, saying that it was on this day that he launched the PM Kisan Yojna three years ago and became an MLA for the first time 20 years ago from Rajkot in Gujarat.

Smriti Irani of Amethi Lok Sabha and Maneka Gandhi of Sultanpur were both present on the dais. Maneka Gandhi did not speak at the rally, despite the fact that Irani did.

At the Prayagraj rally, Modi mocked the rivals’ election promises on employment, claiming that while only two lakh jobs were provided in Uttar Pradesh prior to 2017 on the basis of “favouritism and bundles of notes,” the Yogi Adityanath government generated five lakh government jobs in the same amount of time with complete transparency.
