India’s Sumit Nagal suffered a 3-6, 3-6, 2-6 loss to second seed Dominic Thiem in the second round of the 2020 US Open at the Arthur Ashe Stadium on Thursday. Nagal had become the first Indian in seven years, since Somdev Devvarman at the US Open in 2013, to win a singles match at a Grand Slam when he defeated American Bradley Klahn in the first round.
