Former President Pranab Mukherjee passes away

On Monday, Former President Pranab Mukherjee passed away in Delhi, at the age of 84. He had served as president from 2012 to 2017. His son Abhijeet Mukherjee has confirmed the news through a tweet. He had admitted to Army Hospital earlier this month.

He was currently undergoing treatment by the Critical Care Unit and emergency life-saving surgery from a brain clot. He had also tested positive for Coronavirus. PM Modi tweeted, ” From Day 1, I was blessed to have the guidance, support, and blessings of Shri Pranab Mukherjee. I will cherish my interactions with him.”

On his demise, President Ram Nath Kovind told that his death is the end of an era.
