A fresh breather for people of Darbhanga as the maiden flight starts operations

A boost for Bihar’s Darbhanga as flights started operations this Sunday under the regional schemes of connectivity titled “Udan”. SpiceJet helming the operations, the northern region of Bihar saw a long-standing demand fulfilled as people in Bihar’s Mithila region had to travel longer up to Patna to board a flight till now.

Customary water salutation followed along with passengers being greeted with “Mithila Paags” (a form of the cap worn traditionally) as well as garlands.

The first flight was scheduled to take off to Delhi with a passenger count of 180 that included some heavyweight names from the BJP MP Gopaljee Thakur to the legislator of Darbhanga, Mr. Sanjay Saraogi as well as the MLC, Mr. Dilip Chaudhary in tow.
