Will soon remove the Covid-19 curbs: Kejriwal

This statement came after the meeting with traders that had met him last week requested that weekend curfews- from 10 pm on Friday to 5 am on Monday- be lifted.
Kejriwal said, “Soon we will try to do away with (COVID) restrictions and bring your life back to normalcy…will make all efforts in that direction”. Supporting his statement he remarked on the positivity rate of Delhi which has reduced from 20% just in 10 days.
Today it’s about 10%, opposed to a 30% positivity rate on January 15. All of this is because of the consistent pace of vaccination,” the Delhi CM said.
Before hinting at the reduction of restriction, the Delhi government had recommended the lifting of weekend curfew and forwarded the same to Lieutenant Governor Anil Bajaj, who had rejected the recommendation claiming that the decision will be taken once the pandemic situation will be improved.Until yesterday, Delhi had a drop of cases, with 5,706 cases being recorded in 24hrs, 37 percent lower than Sunday (9,197).
