Students in Bhubaneswar concerned about their future

On one side where students came on the street and protested against board exams which will be conducted offline. On the other side there is a group of students asking to not cancel exams at any cost. Whether the exam is online or offline, they are ready to give the exams.

College students in Bhubaneswar protested to conduct board exams as it is necessary for their future, they said. It shows how concerned they are about their future.

On Monday, 31st January, hundred of students gathered on the street of Mumbai, Pune and many other places in the state to protest against board exams. They said, if the academic year was completely online then the exams should also be online.

It’s been almost 2 years since the pandemic started and for the online academic year and so the exams. The board exam of 2020-2021 was canceled too last year due to sudden rise in covid cases. Online education which was expected to do good has made students more restless. The constant cancelation of examination and conducting it online has made students more stubborn.

There is no fear of failing and copying is also quite easy, isn’t it?

But there are students who does care for their future and understand the consequences of this in future. They also said, that they have prepared for the exam and those who haven’t studied will definitely ask for the cancelation of the exams. Due to cancelation and online exams the non deserving students earn marks and its has been observed last year.

As everyone scores there’s also the problem of admission to be faced. The students who actually worked hard have to compete with one who didn’t even studied but yet earned good grades which seems to be discouraging for the hardworking one.

However the decision of conducting offline exam is firm and there will no change in it.
