Sexist remarks by Indian politicians
Every day it is been in the headline where we hear some of the other politicians making sexist comments in their rally.
Indian society is known for sexism, misogyny, and patriarchy. Not a blame on someone but the politicians too are in the race. One of the other politicians is seen making such sexist comments targetting over each other.
These politicians fail to think that they are in a public eye where people from every society follow their ideology. As per the National Crime Records Bureau of India, incidents of crime against women increased 6.4% during 2012.
Speaking about the crime against male in the country it goes the same way.
Here are the comments
Chandramukhi Devi NCW Officer said, “Women shouldn’t go out at odd times influenced by any person, I think this incident would not have occurred if women had not stepped out of our homes alone in the evening or had been accompanied by a male member of the family”.
“Jaya Prada wears khaki underwear” says Azam Khan SP leader.
“Rapes can be prevented with sanskaar” says Surendra Singh BJP MLA.
Surendra Singh BJP MLA said, “Mayawati has turned 60 but still her hair is black.”
Sajjan Singh Verma Congress leader said, “Doctor’s reports say that a girl can give birth at the age of 15 years. So, at 18 years of age girls become mature. So, what is the logic of increasing age to 21?”
Mohan Bhagwat RSS Chief, “Rapes that are happening in India are dangerous and should be condemned. These are rare in Bharat but occur frequently in India. You go to the villages of the country there will be no such incidents.”
“Old wives are not fun.” says Sriprakash Jaiswal.
Manohar Lal Khattar says, “Rapes used to take in the past and the present as well. Only the concern over such incidents has increased. The biggest concern is that in 80 to 90 percent of rape cases the accused and the victim know each other and one day an argument among them and FIR is lodged saying he raped me.”
Uttarakhand CM Tirath Rawat says, “He was shocked to meet an NGO women wearing ripped jeans while on a flight. He linked the women attire to her values.”
