Rawalpindi shocked by a severe bomb blast

A severe bomb blast ripped through a crowded market in Rawalpindi, Pakistan, killing one person and injuring 12 others including three children. The blast, triggered by an improvised explosive device containing about 3 kgs of explosives, occurred at Kola Centre of Kabari Bazaar in whose vicinity lies the General Headquarters of the Pakistan Army. Police spokesperson Sajidul Hassan told that initial reports suggest that the explosive material was attached to an electric pole. The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital, two of them were stated to be in a critical condition.
