Puducherry Health Workers Caught Throwing Body of a COVID – 19 Patient

Health workers in Puducherry were seen disposing the body of a Coronavirus patient into a pit while ignoring the COVID protocol for handling a body. The body was just wrapped in a white cloth exposing the health workers to the infection.

The body has been identified as a Chennai resident who had been visiting. Similar cases have happened earlier which compelled the state government to pass a ruling of a jail term up to 3 years for blocking or attempting to dispose of the body without proper rituals and safety procedures.
