Priyanca Radhakrishnan’s three-year-old video takes Twitter by storm

A video from November 2017 went viral on Twitter where Priyanca Radhakrishnan, New Zealand’s first-ever Indian-origin minister can be seen addressing the New Zealand Parliament House in her mother-tongue Malayalam.
She is seen speaking a few lines in her native language before saying, “Mr Speaker, I believe that it’s the first time my mother tongue, Malayalam, has been spoken in this house.”
Radhakrishnan who has her roots in Kerala was appointed as Minister for the Community and Voluntary Sector, Minister for Diversity, Inclusion and Ethnic Communities, and Associate Minister for Social Development and Employment in New Zealand PM Jacinda Ardern’s new government line-up.
Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan was among those who congratulated her on her achievements.
