According to sources, there is a list of countries that don’t require a pre-departure RT-PCR test for those who are fully vaccinated. This will come into effect from 14th February.

The Union Health Ministry has replaced the list of “at-risk” countries with the list of countries in respect of which primary vaccination schedule completion certificate is to be uploaded. This has been done with mutual agreement between those countries.

The list includes Australia, Canada, Maldives, Singapore etc. However, China and UAE are not yet on the list. Along with this relaxation, now the home quarantine restriction has also been dismissed. But there’s one thing to keep in mind.

Thermal screening will be done and if anybody at arrival is found positive or shows any symptoms similar to that of the COVID-19 infection, they will be immediately isolated and their contacts will be traced.

Those looking to fly will now have a choice between uploading a double vaccination certificate and a negative RT-PCR test report. All of these relaxations will be in immediate effect from the 14th of February 2022 (Monday).
