Patients in knee-deep water in hospital in Hyderabad

Rainwater is flooding the patient wards of Osmania General Hospital in Hyderabad. Wards were found flooded with sewage and rainwater twice with patients in knee-deep water. Doctors have been demanding a new, more secure building after these frequent instances in the old heritage building. Authorities are ordered to seal the facility’s old building by the Director of Medical Education of the Hospital.

All six wards and two operation theatres have been moved into new buildings on the same campus. A protest is started on Tuesday by the Osmania doctors association pointing out the condition of the building and demanding a new one.
