MHA hands over Kerala gold smuggling case to NIA

Due to National Security implications the probe of the Kerala gold smuggling case has now been handed over to National Investigation Agency. Chief Minister of Kerala Pinarayi Vijayan wrote to prime minister seeking an investigation by the agencies of the center. This was done after Vijayan’s resignation demand was proposed by the opposition
