Mangaluru Airport the first to be leased out by AAI to Adani Group for 50 years

A dictatum issued by the Central Government back in February of 2019 mentioned privatisation of six airports and the list included Mangaluru, Jaipur, Lucknow, Ahmedabad, Thiruvananthapuram as well as Guwahati.

The Airports Authority of India or AAI successfully handed over the airport of Mangaluru to Adani Group for a lease period lasting 50 years. The Adani group emerged the winner in the bidding process with ownership of all the six major airports on a lease back in 2019.
