Lost river found

Evidence of a ‘lost’ river running through the central Thar Desert, near Bikaner has been recently found by researchers. It is said that the river existed as early as 1,72,000 years ago.
The findings were published in the journal Quaternary Science Reviews where it was stated that this was the oldest phase of the river activity at Nal Quarry in the central Thar Desert.
Researchers said, “The river would’ve offered a lifeline to the Paleolithic population.”
