Kabul University attack leaves 19 dead

Nineteen students have been killed and at least 22 people injured as gunmen stormed into war-torn Afghanistan’s largest school on Monday.

The attack which began around the time government officials were expected to arrive at the campus for the opening of an Iranian book fair, eventually stopped when the three gunmen were killed in an hour-long battle with the Security Forces.

The Taliban denied involvement and condemned the attack.
