Italy’s oldest student

Guiseppe Paterno, a 96 years old World War ll veteran became the oldest student of Italy when he completed his undergraduate degree in history and philosophy from the University of Palermo, Italy.

Belonging from a poor family he was unable to complete his education during his youth, even though he had a keen interest in studies. Even amidst the Pandemic, he was not deterred from his goal, although he did express uneasiness about the online classes in contrast to the normal classroom.
