Indian government lends medical assistance to North Korea

The Indian government has sent $1 million worth of anti-tuberculosis medicine to North Korea as per a request from the World Health Organization (WHO). This declaration was made Indian embassy through a press release in Pyongyang.

India wanted to lend a helping hand to the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) and thus, decided to grant them humanitarian assistance. The medical assistance was provided under an ongoing WHO anti-tuberculosis program in DPRK.
