In a twin encounter, 5 terrorist killed, including a JeM commander

In a separate operation by security forces in Budgam and Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir, five terrorists were killed overnight. The encounter took place during an anti-terror operation in Pulwama and Budgam district, said the police.“5 terrorists of Pakistan sponsored proscribed terror outfits LeT and JeM killed in dual encounters in last 12 hours.

Kashmir’s Inspector General of Police Vijay Kumar said that the terrorist neutralized in the anti-terror operation were affiliated to Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Taiba, both of them being Pakistani terror organizations.

Highlighting the major success, Inspector General said that among the terrorist killed was Zahid Wani, JeM commander, whose killing marks a major success for the security forces.The forces informed about the encounter that broke out between terrorists and the security forces in the Naira area of Pulwama.

A total number of 4 terrorists were killed, along with whom incriminating material like arms and ammunition were recovered from the site of the encounter. One another encounter happened in the Harar-i-Sharief area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district.

Police said that incriminating materials including an AK 56 rifle were recovered from the site.
