Govt constructs 1 lakh km of road in 11 states using plastic waste

Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has been using plastic waste to build roads. So far they’ve built one lakh km of road in 11 states. Plastic roads consist of 6-8% plastic and 92-94% bitumen. For every kilometer, 9 tonnes of bitumen and 1 tonne of plastic waste was used.
