Flood situation in Bhandara

Due to the continuous heavy rainfall in Vidarbha from the past two days, there has been a condition to release the water from dams like Gosikhurd, Sarovar, and Bawanthadi. This has created a severe situation of flood in Bhandara city. Similarly, the nearby villages were submerged under the floodwater.

As per the reports areas such as Vidya Nagar, Ganeshpur are already under alert and sealed by the police. many people have already been rescued.

Nagpur to Bhandara highway was under three to four feet water. Around 600 people were rescued by the State Disaster Response Force(SDRF).
