Fashion evolution & Met Gala

Fashion is a popular aesthetic expression, something that is in vogue. It appears in clothing, footwear, makeup, hairstyles, lifestyles, accessories. This is an industry-supported expression. In the world, people take fashion very seriously. Fashion is something that has highlighted every aspect of human culture.
The origin of Fashion is from the year 1826
Probably everyone believes Charles Frederick to be the first fashion designer in the world. He established the first Fashion house in Paris. He was prominent from 1826 to 1895. Fashion certainly has become a part and parcel of human life. It is a force that is here to stay. Moreover, fashion has immersed every place on earth.
In 2019, The Metropolitan Museum of Art Of New York City had announced the theme “Camp: Notes on Fashion”. In this event, pop star Lady Gaga arrived in a pink dress, but promptly stripped down to a black dress underneath, then another pink dress under that, and finally to her underwear. Actor Billy Porter was dressed in a gold bodysuit and matching headpiece and was carried onto the red carpet by six shirtless men.
Katy Perry went as a life-sized chandelier with electric candles and dripping with crystals. Wearing a red and crystal ensemble, Jared Leto arrived with an unusual guest: a replica of his own head. Singer Kacey Musgraves dressed up as Barbie for Met Gala 2019. Zendaya brought the house down, the actress wore a waved wand and transformed dress into a glowing version of the iconic baby blue gown worn by the Disney Princess.
The Bollywood Star Priyanka Chopra did just that, wearing a silver Dior Haute Couture dress with a rainbow feathered skirt and throny crown. Jonas complemented her in a white suit by Dior Men. Both of them wore glittery silver shoes on the red carpet. Many more stars were there on that day. After the success of Met Gala 2019, this year’s theme has been selected.
The theme is “About time: Fashion and Duration”. The exhibition will be part of the Met’s 150th-anniversary Celebrations and will trace the history of fashion from 1870 to the present. The show will explore the connection between fashion and time through the lens of the writings of the late Virginia Woolf. Now, here to conclude, we would like to say that in the best interest of the planet and its inhabitants, the fashion industry is in need of a reformation, changes that are sustainable and ethical. Ultimately it is up to both are the consumer and supplier to help give the industry the makeover it needs.
