England back in-game, the big challenge lies in front of West Indies

After a disaster in the first test, England is back in its form after the return of captain Joe Root. The second day in the Old Trafford passed with smooth innings of England. Right-handed Sibley and lefty Stokes dominated the Caribbean bowlers patiently.

Sibley’s hundred came after playing 311 balls, followed by Stokes’ impressive ton from 255 balls. The English gentlemen on crease seemed more conscious than the previous matches.

The consistency problem persists in England’s batting; except Sibley (120), Stokes (176) and Buttler (40) no one has scored decent, which is distressing. West Indies’ bowlers were tired after the first session, although Roston Chase managed to seize 5 wickets. England declared at 469/9. West Indies is stumbling at 32 after losing Campbell; Sam Curran has hunted him.
