Daag Ache Hain

Body: Menstruation is a topic that has always been kept under the blankets. People don’t like to talk about it or even mention the name in the slightest. There is no form of social awareness regarding menstruation or what kind of trauma menstruating people have to go through. 

When people menstruate, they are told to keep that knowledge hidden from everyone, they are considered impure when that is the very blood running through our veins since the moment we opened our eyes.

But Indian Reserve Officer Aman Preet broke this silence by posting a poem about menstruation on Twitter. The main highlight of the poem being “Daag ache hain.”
