COVID cases in India soars 4th highest in the world

The COVID-19 cases in India have now reached the fourth highest in the world, overtaking the UK on Thursday,  reporting another highest single-day rise in new infections and deaths. The number of fresh cases crossed 11,000  while deaths were reported around 400, going past 8,000 a day earlier. As per the data from state governments, India has 2,98,191 cases as on Thursday night.
