Byte Dance’s investment talk with Reliance

Since late last month, the companies China’s Byte Dance and Reliance Industries were in conversation for investment on the video-based app TikTok’s business in India. As of now, they have still not reached a conclusion yet. Microsoft Corp has been in talks to acquire the US operation. Last week, US transaction bans were also unveiled by President Donald Trump with China app’s TikTok and WeChat.
