A cyber cell has shut down 500 websites for promoting obscene and hate content

The Delhi Police Cyber Cell has shut down almost 500 websites for promoting obscene and hate-related content. Based on the complaints received by the Home Ministry’s Cyber Crime Prevention Against Women and Children (CCPWC), about 50 cybercriminals have been sent behind bars in the last 18 months. However, in these cases, the arrest of the accused and further legal action depends entirely on the complainant.
