44 out of 63 missing COVID-19 patients tracked down by the Mumbai Police.

The Mumbai Police managed to track down around 44 out of 63 missings as per the list prepared by the P/Northward of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) when they failed to establish contact with them. While some patients were not available at their given addresses, some of them had their phones were switched off. Apparently, 4 of the missing people were already dead and 3 of them are criminals. The whole incident has put BMC under the spotlight and is being accused of preparing the list without conducting a proper verification.
Out of the 44 people tracked down by the police, 17 were found residing under Kurar police station area in Malad. Two people out of 4 who had died also lived in Kurar. 19 patients residing under Dindoshi Police Station have been admitted to the hospital while 18 have been home quarantined after discharge from hospital.
BJP leader and MP, Kirit Somaiya has written to BMC seeking information on the number of COVID patients in the city and how many of them have been missing from June 1 to June 23.
